Cone Crusher is used as a secondary/ tertiary crushing station in crushing Plant and it gives much higher production as compared to secondary Jaw Crusher.
The Primary Crushed material is feed to Cone Crusher. The feed plate distributes the material evenly around the mantle & Concave. The Gyratory motion of the mantle creates Squeezing (crushing )action of the feed material between Concave & mantle.
Size of the crushed stone can be changed by changing the closed side setting & stroke. For proper reduction & consistent product gradation, the crusher most be choke fed at all times. If it is not choke fed, the liner will wear unevenly & can cause uneven wear of concave & Mantle & will not make consistent output gradations.
